And just last year, I wrote:
“We’re going to do something with our talent and that does require some sacrifice but I don’t think we have to sacrifice our love to get to where we need to be. Together, we are better. That’s a fact.”
Well…
So, we left each other. We left each other and it’s okay. It’s alright, right?
I just did something great; something great done in trust and love and belief in each other. I put on an amazing show. With my friends, the most wonderful people I know.
He wasn’t there.
In fact, in truth, he hasn’t been there for a lot of my wonderful.
My talents and his talents haven’t met in a long while.
And he is talented.
It’s just…it’s just…
Not meant to be.
Tonight, I will sleep alone. I won’t always but tonight, I will. And he…well, I can’t really be bothered by that now, can I?
And that’s just as it should be.
That’s that.
That’s just the way it is.
He and I and our talents and our successes will be independent of each other.
And we will continue on.
No need for “sacrifice.”
